Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science - Vocational Education

The study programme B.A./ B.Sc. Vocational Education is structured as follows

    • Vocational field of study with 95 credit points
    • General educational subject with 42 credit points
    • Vocational education and training as a third interdisciplinary field of study with 21 credit points
    • Compulsory internship in a vocational school with 10 credit points
    • Bachelor thesis with 12 credit points


The studies of vocational education and training is accompanied with one of the following six study programmes

    • Health science
    • Nursing science
    • Cosmetology
    • Electrical engineering (in cooperation with Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences)
    • Metal technology (in cooperation with Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences)
    • Ecotrophology (in cooperation with Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences)

Entry requirements

A general requirement for enrollment is a valid university entrance qualification. For further information about specific entry requirements for the different study programmes and the application process, please visit the web pages of the Student Office

The amendment of the Lower Saxony University Law in 2010 allows further paths to get access to higher education which includes but is not limited to:

    • Craftman’s examination
    • Subject-related entrance qualification
    • Specific vocational competencies that are equivalent
    • At least three years of occupation (excluding the duration of apprenticeship) to be eligible for a subject-related study programme
